115 Lord, you are the one
    who deserves that people praise you.
They should praise only you, not us!
Because you love us with a faithful love,
    and you always do what you have promised.
2 Why should other nations say about us,
    ‘Where is their God?’

  1. 115:1 This psalm teaches us that there is only one God. All other gods are made by people, and they have no power to help us. Verses 4-8 tell us about idols. Idols are false gods. People that trust idols to help them will become useless like them.
